Mom's Been Neglecting My Site Again

Lucy

Mom's been spending all of her free time working on her other sites, which means, of course, that she's been neglecting mine. Over a month since my last post. Oh well, she did say that I could post a quick update on my clicker training . . .

Well, I've got good news and bad news. Since I like good things (apples, toys, peas and corn and carrots) better than bad (LUCY!!!! I WANT YOU TO BE QUIET!!!), I'll start with the good...

I've got the clicking down pat. Mom doesn't even really need to use the actual clicker. She usually just makes the sound herself 'click click' when I do something good.

So, I've now appended 'click click' to anything that I know is good. My old sayings now go something like . . .

'Lucy's being a little baby birdie' . . 'click click' . . 'good girrrrl!'

'She's being a puppy' . . 'click click' . . 'good girrrl!'

'Lucy did a poopoo' . . 'click click' . . 'good girrrrl!'

Seems that I've got the hang of it, doesn't it? So what's the bad news?

I still scream and yell. Then I scold myself. And once I've told myself to be 'QUIET!', I follow it with a 'click click' . . 'good girrrrl!'.

Not exactly what Mom had in mind when she bought the clicker. ;)
